GETTING THERE

WHERE IS ZILKER PARK?

 

Zilker Park is located at 2100 Barton Springs Road

Zilker Park is on Barton Springs Road, just east of Mopac and half a mile west of Lamar Blvd. Barton Springs Road will remain open but only left turns will be prohibited between Lou Neff Rd and Stratford Drive.

 

 

 

FRIENDLY REMINDER:

You are not allowed to park in the neighborhoods around Zilker Park. Towing will be enforced! Please respect our Zilker neighbors.

 

HOW WILL TRAFFIC BE AFFECTED?

The following restrictions to vehicular traffic will begin at 9:00pm:

Barton Springs will be closed entirely from Azie Morton Rd. to Columbus at Mopac. No eastbound or westbound traffic will be allowed. Westbound traffic on Barton Springs will be diverted to u-turn back eastbound on Barton Springs. No Access to Azie Morton Rd. from Barton Springs. All eastbound lanes of Barton Springs from Azie Morton Rd. will remain open.

These modifications have been put into place for the safety of pedestrians leaving the event. Traffic control will return to normal around 11:00pm, or sooner, if event attendees have cleared sufficiently.

In addition, the entrance to Stratford off Barton Springs will be closed beginning at 7pm.

WHERE CAN I PARK?

There is limited on-site parking available in the Zilker Park Polo Fields for purchase!

If you plan to drive to Blues on the Green and park nearby Zilker Park, you will be able to purchase a PARKING PASS ON SITE ONLY. A parking pass is $20 per vehicle in the Polo Picnic Area and $25 per vehicle in the Stratford Lot.

ZILKER PARK POLO FIELDS: Eastbound traffic will turn right into the parking lots on the south side of the park (entering off of Mopac Frontage and turning in on Columbus Drive). Parking at Zilker in the polo fields can ONLY be accessed off of the northbound Mopac frontage road.

WHAT IF I DON’T WANT TO DRIVE TO ZILKER PARK?

Said everyone who has ever attended Blues on the Green. We feel you! We have a bunch of solutions below and HIGHLY encourage that you take them into consideration. Getting to Blues on The Green is also easier than ever without a car thanks to some multimodal improvements made in the area. Click the link to learn about the new protected shared use paths along Barton Springs Road and Stratford Drive.

 

RIDESHARE

The official #BOTG Rideshare is Wridz! There is also an official pick up spot at Wanderlust Wine Co. on Barton Springs for #BOTG attendees.

CAPMETRO

CapMetro makes it easy to get to and from Blues on the Green. Concert goers can choose from a variety of services including Metrobus (Routes 3 and 30) and MetroRapid (Route 803) which offer convenient and low-cost ways to travel. Also, don’t forget, kids ride free on all CapMetro services, all the time.

For those looking to catch a ride straight to Zilker Park, MetroRapid 803 is the best option. Riders can pick up MetroRapid at any station between The Domain and Westgate and take it to the Barton Springs Station, located directly on Lamar, near Zilker Park. MetroBus 3 and MetroBus 30 also provide nearby stops to Zilker Park. Since parking is not provided at the Zilker Park event site, taking transit is the fastest and most convenient way to get there.

Attendees are encouraged to use the CapMetro App and Trip Planner to get step-by-step directions for taking CapMetro to Blues on the Green. With CapMetro you can take the hassle out of parking and paying more at the pump.

 

CapMetro is giving away 1,000 digital bus passes. Registration for a free pass is open until 5pm, on July 16, 2023 at this link: bit.ly/bluesongreen23. MetroBike is giving us 100 day passes valid from 7/17-7/19 using code BOTG2023.

 

BIKE ACCESS

Take a MetroBike for easy access to and from Blues on the Green! The closest MetroBike Stations are located at the Roy and Anne Butler Trailhead under Mopac at Veteran’s Drive (The Rock), and on Barton Springs Road at Andrew ZIlker Road and Sterzing Street. If those stations are full or empty, there are alternate options close by outside Barton Springs Pool and on Barton Springs Road at Kinney Avenue.

Bike racks will be located at multiple places throughout the park if you are bringing your own bike. There are 3 bike parking locations close to Zilker Park.

Taking a scooter or other micromobility device? There will be a dropoff and pickup zone at Barton Springs Road and Sterzing Street.

MOTORCYCLE PARKING

Motorcycle parking will be available by entering via the public parking entrance off the south side of Barton Springs Road (pool side) and veer left to the Pecan Grove area.

HANDICAP PARKING & ACCESS

Handicap parking is available this year in the Playscape Parking lot.  A current placard is required to enter the park via Lou Neff Road.
